Yate Pet Sitters

We have been using the doggy walking services that Vicky and Rob offer for only a short period of time but we are looking forward to continuing for the foreseeable future. We have two labradors, Ruby and Bruno. Both of them get so excited when they see Vicky or Rob arriving as they know it's walkies time. They always come back absolutely shattered which is lovely because they get so much exercise and they are able to burn off a lot of their built up energy. We always feel completely at ease knowing that our four legged family members are in perfect hands and couldn't recommend Vicky and Rob high enough

I cannot recommend Yate Pet Sitters enough. We had never left our dog, Rosie, before with anyone other than friends or family so we were a bit anxious about leaving her with strangers. Vicky and Rob put us at ease straight away and we were happy to leave Rosie in their care. They kept us posted with photos and text messages and so we were able to relax and have a wonderful break. Most importantly Rosie was in good hands, received lots of love, walks and attention. Rosie has never been great with other dogs but the experience, along with the patience and training of Vicky and Rob, has resulted in her being much happier and more confident around other dogs when out on walks.

We cannot recommend Sandra and family highly enough. Our two CKC Spaniels ( Hardy & Stan) do not like kennels after having a bad experience. We needed to leave them, and by chance came across Yate Pet Sitters, we spoke to Vicky who put us in touch with Sandra and family.
We arranged to meet Sandra with H & S, and it was obvious that she and her family loved animals.
Yesterday we picked up Hardy and Stan; it was so clear that they had become part of their family and were so very happy!!! They had had a super holiday! Thank you to you all. x

Vicky looked after our cats over Christmas. I could not have asked for a better service from Vicky. The daily updates were brilliant so I knew how my cats were coping. As they are both very shy I was expecting them to be a bit stressed out but when I arrived back they were very laid back so I knew they were happy with the care they had received from Vicky. We've been using the services of Yate Pet Sitters for nearly a year now and would have no hesitation in reccomending them. We first called on their services when we were leaving our Cocker Spaniel with my mum while we were away on holiday for a month. This gave me a double challenge - finding someone that would love Keira like we do but also that would be sensitive to my mums needs. Vicky came up trumps on both counts. She has a bubbly, friendly & caring personality and has an obvious love of dogs and people. She treated Keira as if she was her own. She even emailed us while we were away to update us on how Keira & my mum were doing! I didn't worry about either of them while we were away - I knew they were in good hands. When Vicky told us she was on holiday the same time as us this year I went into a panic but I need not have worried. We were introduced to Maria who has that same bubbly, warm & friendly personality. Keira always gets really excited when she sees Maria coming and always come back well exercised. It's also really nice that sometimes she goes out with Maria's dogs.
They are totally trustworthy and I feel like they are good friends and not just dog walkers! Thank you!

Yate pet sitters have been the best gift we have ever given out little pugs! Being an over protective owner who sees her doggies as little children, I struggled with the idea of letting someone care for them whilst I was unable to. As soon as I met Vicky I instantly felt relaxed as she is a sincere warm and incredibly loving person and both our pugs have been drawn to her from the start. I receive daily messages and pictures of the pugs in walks, Vicky has revolutionised our puppies naughty toilet habits and maintains the same habits that we have given them! Yate pet sitters looked after our two cats over Christmas this year whilst we were visiting family. It was my first experience of pet sitters as i usually use a cattery.

My cats were really happy when we returned- so i know they had been well cared for and received plenty of fuss as they normally give us the cold shoulder for 24 hours upon return from a trip for leaving them! I also really appreciated the text messages vicky sent me to update me on how they were doing in my absence. I would thoroughly recommend Yate Pet Sitters and won't hesitate to use them again in the future.

We asked yate pet sitting to help us out when our usual dog walker was away. Maria stepped in and Harvey our retriever received excellent care from her. Maria really bonded with Harvey and other dog walking friends when they saw them on the field commented on the care she took with him. We knew from almost the first contact we had with Yate Pet sitters that we had come to the right place to get the care we needed for our puppy Archie. Vicky and her team (Marie & Lisa) came to visit us to ensure they could provide the care we were looking for. All were friendly and enthusiastic and Marie & Archie hit it off straight away. Since then Marie has been coming daily to walk Archie and you couldn't wish for a lovelier person to take care of your pet. She clearly loves Archie and always puts his interests first, she often brings her own dogs (Daisy & Riley) whom Archie loves and misses them when they don't come. I get txts and photos from their walks which is always nice and keeps me involved with whats going on when I am not there. A special thanks to Marie who is great and means I can leave Archie knowing he is in good hands. I would like to say how thankfull we were when Lisa Pope said she would look after our one year old dog for three weeks when we went on our holiday to Florida. Lisa took great care of Bruno for us whilst we were away. Just days before we were due to go on holiday Bruno had a poorly ear and i contacted Lisa and explained she said it was no problem she would still look after Bruno for us, Lisa was meet with the task of given Bruno his medication and his ear drops she also had to take him back to the vets three times for a check up whilst he was in her care, Lisa kept us upto date on how Bruno was doing whilst we were on holiday via phone or through facebook she also sent us photo's of him. Once again i would like to thank Lisa and her family for taking great care of Bruno and would recommend Yate Pet Sitters.

I am so happy with the service from Yate Pet Sitters. Vicky looked after my dog, Ollie for me whilst we attended a wedding. She is so professional with excellent skills. She kindly texted me with an update after both visits and truely put my mind at rest. Will definitely use her services again!

Vicky looked after our cat TC for our summer 2012 holiday and was fantastic, we will never use a cattery again, she was great with out very grumpy cat and ensured our house was safe duing our holiday. Thanks again Vicky.

We can't recommend Yate Pet Sitters highly enough. The service we have received from Vicky and LIsa has been exceptional. Very professional from the start and a pre-visit made sure that they were fully aware of any particular needs the cats had. We left for a week and got back to two very contented and healthy cats and we now won't hesitate to use yate pet sitters in the future.

I am so glad that I found such a lovely place for my two jack russell dogs Barney and Charlie to stay whilst going on holiday this year. It meant I could go away and not have to worry about them.
I couldnt bare to put them into kennels and feel so happy that they could stay with Vicky, where they received the best care, lots of walks, plenty of attention, the comfort of a loving home with a true dog lover, along with all Vicky's expert knowledge on dog behaviour.

I feel they benefited enormously from their stay and Charlie, whose behaviour has always been quite challenging, has been so much better behaved since.

Vicky is a true dog lover, and nothing seems to be to much trouble for her. On the day I left, it was very hot, and she had put a large paddling pool in the garden for the dogs to cool off in.

I feel very lucky to have found such a kind, caring person to look after them and wouldnt hesitate to book again in the future.

Vicky recently looked after our 2 cats and 2 rabbits.
The service provided was excellent.
We have always used catterys in the past for the cats, and a fairly local garden centre for the rabbits. This has added the numerous trips out to drop off th eright animals at the right places at the right itmes. Using Yate Pet Sitters took away this and made for a much better use of our time just before going on holiday.
Our pets were much happier being able to stay in their own environment, and all the instructions that had been left were followed to the letter by Vicky. Nothing was to much for her.
She even texted us a couple of times, once with a picture of our cats which was a really nice touch.
Really pleased Iwe have found this service and will be using it again soon.

We came to GB pet sitters after my husband started working away and can honestly say that Vicky has transformed our walks and has put in time and energy coming up with positive solutions to helping us during a very challenging time.

Thought I'd just drop you a quick email after using San for the first time for our two dogs Odo & Casper.

What can I say except what a lovely lady and what a wonderful family. We consider ourselves very lucky to have found such a warm and friendly environment to leave our two dogs in. We had been putting them into boarding kennels but we were becoming increasingly more and more upset at this prospect everytime we went on holiday but now never again, now we feel happy and relaxed leaving them know they are part of a loving family were they will get all the care and attention they are used to. To be quite honest I was worried that they wouldn't want to come back home after all that pampering, including a dip in San's jacuzzi. Once we went to pick them up and we saw how happy and settled they were I instantly confirmed my next two week booking for September knowing that we will be able to fly off completed happy about leaving them.
I cannot recommend San and her family highly enough.

Vicky has been walking our cocker spaniel Freya twice a week for the last few months. She has provided a superb service. Freya loves her walks with her and the other dogs, including Duggy! She's frequently snoozing in her bed all evening following a good walk- it's rare she's tired out, so that's great! Freya also has had a recent overnight at Vicky's and I know that she was really well looked after and given plenty of affection and attention- so so much better than leaving her in kennels! I really appreciate all the texts that Vicky sends with pictures of the dogs on their walks, and she and Rob provide a reliable, dedicated and caring service. Thanks!!

Vicky has been taking my little Jack Russell Oscar for walks a couple of times a week whilst I am at work to break up his day.
Vicky is realiable and trustworthy with Oscar and he has a great time out walking with her. Oscar has met Dougie (vickys dog ) a few times and they get on well.

Ollie our rescue springer had a very good overnight with Vicky. Dougie the lab was very welcoming too, and Ollie got to sit on laps and sofas which he doesn't do at home so was very happy. He was tired and relaxed when we picked him up and obviously had had a good time. Vicky sent several texts and pics during the day so we knew all was well. Would definitely send Ollie here again and would recommend the service to anyone needing a good home from home.

I have used vicky for her dog walking service since september when we had a new addition to the family. Flynn our great dane puppy took an instant liking to Vicky and the feeling was mutual. I have found Vicky to be extremely reliable and it is a relief that I can leave Flynn in her very capable hands whilst I am at work. The daily texts that Vicky send are very much appreciated. I would not hesitate to recommend Vicky to friends and family.

Flossy, our two year old collie cross, had a great holiday at Vicky and Rob's. We knew she would be happy with them after the first meeting. We felt confident about leaving her over night and we were delighted to get texts, photos and updates about what she was doing and how she was getting on. I think it was like a holiday for her and I wasn't sure she wanted to come home! She struck up a good friendship with Duggy (their dog) and I think missed him afterwards.

Vicky and Rob seemed to know exactly how to handle Flossy and get to know her. They were relaxed, calm and highly professional as well as very friendly and warm. The service they provide is better than we could have hoped, it felt like Flossy was not only given excellent care but also 'love'. We will definitely be going back to them again.

Vicky looked after our two Yorkshire Terriers, Mouse and Ted, for two weeks over Christmas. Prior to that we went to meet Vicky and Dougie when Vicky took copious notes including Ted's meds. He will be 19 in Feb! Vicky is professional and seems so genuinely fond of animals that we felt completely at ease leaving tour two "babies" in her care.

We booked Vicky at short notice over the Xmas / New Year period to look after our 6 cats. Two of the cats are under 1 year old and love company so we were worried about leaving them for a week. Vicky immediately put our minds to rest with her obvious love of animals, and whilst we were away we did not have to worry as she sent us pictures of them by email. She gave them a treat, took them for a walk around the garden and gave them all a cuddle every day. When one of our male cats (who is a keen hunter) didn't turn up for his treat she even put in an extra visit and spoke to the neighbours about his whereabouts - but thankfully he turned up safe and sound. We will definitely use Vicky again and would recommend her to anyone else.

This was my dog Alfies first time away from us for the night.Viki was incredibly kind and patient and i would highly recommend her.

We used Vicky to look after our Pygmy hedgehogs and bearded dragon during a weekend away. I was extremely nervous about leaving my pets with anyone other than family as had never done it before, and exotics have their own specific requirements that some may not understand. I was immediately reassured when Vicky visited and I saw the real warmth she has for animals and how excited she was to meet the hedgehogs! She immediately handled them expertly. She took detailed notes and explained everything and we agreed on a care plan for the weekend. I received text updates and pictures on my first evening away and from then on my worries evaported. I would definitely use Vicky again, she will be my first port of call next time I need to go away. Thanks so much Vicky for enabling me to enjoy my trip, knowing my pets were getting the very best care.

We used Vicky over the busy Christmas period and not only was she able to accomdate us at very short notice, she was incredibly thorough and loving with our pet kittens. I received detailed texts from Vicky every day on how they were doing and any feeding issues and I felt completely at ease knowing they were looked after.

We had a bad experience with kennels for the first time since getting our puppy and decided we could not take him to one again then came the worry of not being able to go away ever again! , on recommendation we were put in contact with Vicky and we couldnt be happier, from the moment we spoke we knew we had made the right choice, so helpful and cheerful and an obvious animal lover! our dog loves Vicky and Rob and Duggie and he will be boarding with her happily when we next go away, we will also have regular dog walks too, the text messages on the first weekend we were away were so helpful we were worried but neednt have been, as soon as we got the text and picture messages with updates at how happy he was we could relax, he sullked for two days when we bought him home again thank you so much :o)

We was worried when we bought 2 kittens 4 weeks before going on holiday, I didn't like the idea of using a cattery, I found vickys number and decided to use a pet sitter, I called Vicky and she came round to the house, you could see instantly that she loved animals, we have left our kittens with Vicky twice now , it's like leaving them with a member of our family, the kittens are always well looked after and I think they miss Vicky when we get home

I've used Vicky twice now as one of my cats refuses to eat or come out from the corner when he has been put in catteries in the past! It's a fantastic service and puts my mind at rest when i have gone away that they are okay. Vicky sends texts and photos of cats which is lovely!

We left our very muched loved Border Collie (Trix) with Vicky back in the summer. We were dreading the thought of leaving her whilst we went on holiday. We shouldn't have worried, Trix had the time of her life, we think she really enjoyed being with Vicky and her dog Douggie. We have also rebooked for our next holoiday.

My two dogs (lab and beagle) have really enjoyed their regular walks with Vicky. She is very flexible and always updates me with regular pictures and reports. I did a lot of research while looking for a suitable dog walker and Vicky was the perfect balance between enthusiasm and obvious love of animals and affordability. We were so pleased to find Yate Pet Sitters, it's always been a dilemma for us about what to do about our pets when we go on holiday as we have 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs, a rabbit and tropical fish. So it was a huge relief to find Vicky's service, which made a lot more financial sense than boarding our animals which we have done previously. Vicky was lovely and enthusiastic about our animals and really put us at ease, she kept in touch while we were away with texts letting us know that everything was well. They are Lurchers and very very full of life and mischief so i knew it was a lot for her to look after both of them...or so i thought. We've used Yate Pet Sitters on a couple of occasions and have found Vicky to be a very friendly, punctual, reliable and trustworthy person. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and she goes out of her way in order to make life easier, both for ourselves and our dog. Leaving your pet alone is never easy but Vicky provides great peace of mind, knowing that someone is looking after them with just as much love and care as you would give yourself.

When we first made contact with Yate Pet Sitters, Vicky and Kate came to visit the dogs at our home and came highly recommended. We felt very reassured and felt straight away that they were both Dog lovers, and they had the dogs best interest at heart! That was their priority. They have been extremely flexible which is what we needed, and they have proved to be very accomodating.

Loki and Sam love Vicky and Kate and look forward to her visits. Vicky keeps us updated on how they are during and after their walk and how they enjoyed their time. Having that text come through always reassures me that they are ok. I hate leaving them when we have to work but knowing they are looked after during the day really does help. We have also used the home boarding service and again, nothing but praise. Because the boys are comfortable around Vicky and her dog Duggy, they settled quickly and were treated to extra long walks.

I dont hesitate in recommending Yate Pet Sitters. They have been such a reassurance for us. We hate leaving our boys in the day, but it helps a little knowing they are left in such good hands.

I am really pleased with the great service provided by Yate Pet Sitters. They listen to what services you require and what commands you use with your dog. YPS walk my 5 month pup while I am at work and have helped with training. I have also used YPS for boarding which Gin (my pup) really enjoyed.
I would recommend Yate Pet Sitters to anybody who needs help with walking or boarding!!

We would highly recommend Yate Pet Sitters as they offer an excellent service. The dog friendly home environment and attention to individual needs was just what we were looking for. The flexibility with pick up and drop off times was a major benefit and really helped us too.

Vicky took care of our puppy Roxy on a day-to-day basis as well as some overnight boarding. During this time we both recieved text and email updates letting us know how she was getting on and providing some brilliant pictures. This put our minds at rest and gave us the confidence that she was in good hands.

Every time we picked Roxy up it was great to have the opportunity to chat with Vicky about what she had been up to during the day - good and not so good... a puppy after all! Vicky always seemed friendly and was willing to put the time and effort into what she was doing, definitely the type of person to trust with your best friend!

The service we received was outstanding and really helped us out at a difficult time. Moving house with a puppy "helping" would have been impossible! When we need a dog sitter we know who to call!

I have had dogs for 30 years and my only worry has been going away and leaving my dogs behind. I am so pleased to have found Vicky at Yate Petsitters because now I know I can go away and leave my dogs with her knowing they are happy and safe. I recently left my 2 Cavalier King Spaniels with Vicky, one is nearly 3 years old and the other only 15 weeks old and they came back very happy.

Kate has been brilliant with Riley my bull mastiff, she plays with him, gives him loads of attention, there is always fresh water down & does everything i ask her to do, even if its last minute!!, yate pet sitters is also really flexable with times & days & have been able 2 change days if needs be. They were one of the only places willing 2 look after Riley as he is a big boy who needs lots of tlc, so a huge thanks to yate pet sitters!!

The dogs get to sleep in the comfort of the house (not a kennel) and are well looked after. What we really liked was that Vicky and her partner have a genuine love for animals and cared for our dog as if it was their own. We have already booked them for our summer holiday and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Our 10 day holiday was booked before we decided to get a puppy. We were hoping that a family member/friend maybe able to puppy sit whilst we were away but unfortunately this was not possible. The thought of our 16 week Yorkie pup going into kennels for 10 days filled me with dread, at one point I even contemplated cancelling the holiday!

I came across Yate Pet Sitters on the Internet; the concept of our puppy going from one house to another sounded exactly what I had been looking for. I contacted Vicky and arranged to meet Vicky and her dog (Duggy) a few days later along with our dog Ted. Vicky was very friendly and approachable, I knew straight away that she was a real dog lover and Ted would be extremely well looked after. Vicky was very keen to find out all about Ted and his normal daily routine as she planned to keep the stay at her house as close to ours as possible.

I felt extremely confident that Ted would be well looked after and I was right. Vicky sent me various photographs of Ted whilst I was away showing us all the fun he was having.

I couldn’t wait to pick Ted up, on arriving he was really pleased to see me but it was clear he had really bonded with Vicky and Duggy and had thoroughly enjoyed his stay.

I would recommend Yate Pet Sitters to anyone, the personalised service was fantastic and the home from home set up made the experience much easier for me and my puppy. I will certainly be using Yate Pet Sitters during any other holidays we may take.
